  MESSAGE FROM CEO
31 March marks the end of our Financial Year - and what a year it has been! CS-VUE has clocked up an astonishing 3,170% revenue growth over the last three years, and despite some fairly morbid economic conditions, we remain positive about future expansion.

From my perspective, one of the most exciting aspects over the last 12 months has been the intense mainstreaming of corporate sustainability. The 2009 Ernst & Young Business Risk Report terms this market shift as "Radical Greening", and rates the need to focus on corporate environmental policy and practical sustainability outcomes as the 4th largest risk to global business. And guess what? Regulation and Compliance is number 2...

So whether we like it or not, corporate sustainability is rapidly emerging as a key facet of sound governance, and from our perspective, this needs to fit snugly within an integrated risk management and compliance strategy to ensure that what is being said is actually being delivered.

We have been working hard to ensure that CS-VUE meets the complex compliance needs of many different industries and business scales, and also delivers our customers better governance, sustainability brand positioning, and practical environmental benefits 'on the ground'.

We are constantly surprised at the commitment our customers are making to 'greening' their operations, and are happy to be a part of this process. If you have any success stories we would love to hear them!

Best wishes for the 09/10FY.

Duncan Stewart - CEO

10 Major water users tardy with monitoring reports

Ten major water users who have failed to report their annual water usage to Environment Southland are in breach of their consents, and could face instant fines of up to $200 a day until they provide the right information.
Councillors were not in a tolerant mood when Compliance Manager Mark Hunter disclosed the extent of the tardy reporting at the Environmental Management Committee meeting. His staff have already issued abatement notices to the ten consent holders who are in breach of their water permits. Each has also been required to install an automated reporting system, and e-mail daily accounts of their water use in the meantime.
